Does positive
attitude mean anything? It sure does. We are
Michael and Cheri Blood! We are so glad to be
here. It's your family, the kids, the
house, aging parents, the bills, and all the
adventures of life! That's the normal---then
the unthinkable happens.
Edina Police officer
Michael was 29 days from retirement, a 9-1-1
call comes in November 16th, 2000. Bank robbery
in progress. He responds, and was critically
wounded by gunfire by the bank robber.
He was left for
dead. Many long months of pain and
hospitalization followed--yet so much positive
energy.
Cheri was
diagnosed with breast cancer five months after
the shooting, and had surgery! Five years
later, December of 2005, she fell and broke her leg!
Ugh! We love to share
our story of this most incredible time, and how
we got through it all facing all the
challenges!
We are true
Midwesterners, growing up in Minnesota, married
for 35 years, raised two children and thought
we had seen it all...but no....there is so
much energy out there to see and feel. Enjoy
the gift of life! Learn to reach out to
others, change your perspective on life and
everything around you, positive begets more
positive. We work together (like Burns and
Allen) or on our own sharing our story of
faith, family and friends! Let us have fun with inspiration
and a walk with faith!

Our Lions Board
unanimously agreed it was indeed the most
important and interesting program to come to
us for several years. I would add that both of
you impressed us with your amazing strength in
dealing with what were life threatening events
and your sharing of these was uplifting to all
of us.
