For the last thirty+ years, in every aspect of her professional and personal life, Betsy has served as a catalyst, helping leaders find the courage to grow and the wisdom to change. She’s held major leadership positions in four very different  careers --- from crime (Deputy Commissioner of the MN Department of Corrections)  to slums (Vice President of Sales and Marketing for City Venture), to money (senior executive at Commercial Credit and Investment Officer at what is now RBC Dain) , to PR (Executive Vice President of Shandwick, including a period based in Tokyo).For the last eight years, she’s run a company called What Matters, using coaching, consulting and speaking to help leaders and teams in the organizations they serve sell well, lead well, and speak well.

As a certified Hudson Institute coach, Betsy has a track record of powerful business and volunteer results: Past-chair of the National Speakers Association PR Task Force, winner of NSA’s President’s Award, she’s also past president of NSA-Minnesota, an active member of NSA nationally and a frequent presenter at NSA workshops.
